About Fathom Cruises

Fathom Cruises has introduced a socially conscious travel brand which allows people to combine their love of travel with the ability to help people in both Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Fathom's social impact cruises creates a sense of community with their guests and the local areas that they visit. The person-to-person relationship that is established allows for s deep immersion in the local culture and customs where both sides end up learning and benefitting from each other.

The Fathom's cruise itineraries are offered to Cuba and the Dominican Republic with alternating 7 night programs aboard the Adonia. The 704 passenger Adonia was refurbished in 2011 and will be refurbished again in March 2016 before the start of the new itineraries. Guests arriving into Cuba will immediately connect with the heritage of Cuba and be immerse in the Cuban culture. The Fathom Cruise program to Cuba, authorized under current US government people-to-people guidelines, encourages cultural, artistic, faith-based, and humanitarian exchanges. The 7 night Cuba cruise visits a variety of Cuban ports including Havana, Cienfuegos, and Santiago de Cuba to give you a broad view of the island nation. Some of the onshore activities may include a walking tour of Havana's Old City, a visit to an organic farm or a meal at a home based restaurant. To further immerse you in the culture you may participate in an English workshop with primary school students, or an idea sharing session with local business people.
