Revised Cancellation Policies

In light of the recent outbreak of Coronavirus, many cruise lines have relaxed their cancellation policies to provide guests with more time to make an informed decision about their future travels. These changes should help to alleviate some of the concerns guests may have so that they can feel confident in any plans that they have regarding current or future cruises.

If you do choose to cancel we certainly understand. In order to process your cancellation, please complete the cancellation form below. Currently, we are experiencing high call volumes. In order to manage this process, we are handling cancellations in order of cruise departure date, and are handling close-in sailings first. WE WILL CONTACT YOU as soon as we begin working on your specific cruise departure date. If you have an emergency or feel that there is a situation requiring more immediate handling, then we ask that you call our Customer Service using the phone number that appears in the upper right hand corner of your invoice and we thank you in advance for your patience as we are experiencing long hold times.

It is the guests responsibility to ensure that the cancellation form is submitted with sufficient time to meet any cancellation deadlines. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation notice once it has been processed. Please see the revised cancellation policies that are in place for the cruise line on which you have booked. Each cruise line has made their own determination as to what their cancellation policies and procedures will be, and has determined the amounts and protocols governing Future Cruise Credits (FCCs) and we are required to conform to those policies as provided.

In light of recent global health concerns cruise lines are taking a number of different steps to ensure the safety of all guests and crew. In addition to closely following the advice of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention a number of other measures designed to improve safety have been instituted.

Preventative Measures

All cruise lines have established a number of new safety protocols designed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. While some of the timelines vary most include the following:
  • All embarking guests will be asked to complete and submit a Pre-Embarkation Public Health Questionnaire certifying their current health status and recent travel history. In addition, most cruise lines are administering a non-touch fever temperature check to guests and crew.
  • Guests with a temperature over 100.4 will be denied boarding
  • Guests who have recently traveled from, visited or transited via airports in China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Iran, or Italy will be denied boarding, regardless of nationality. Travel companions of these guests who share the same stateroom will also be denied boarding.
  • Guests who have recently come into known direct contact with anyone who has traveled from, visited or transited via airports in China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Iran, or Italy. Travel companions of these guests who share the same stateroom will also be denied boarding.
  • All persons who have recently had contact with, or helped care for, anyone suspected or diagnosed as having COVID-19, or who are currently subject to health monitoring for possible exposure to COVID-19 will be denied boarding.
  • All persons who have reported on the Pre-Embarkation Public Health Questionnaire or who appear symptomatic, are feeling unwell, are exhibiting flu-like symptoms or exhibit difficulty breathing will be denied boarding.
Certain countries have put into place additional restrictions for port entry and passenger disembarkation. These often include denying entry to certain passport holders or requiring additional medical documentation or screenings. Guests with certain passports and who are on voyages impacted by port restrictions will be notified prior to sailing.

Once Onboard

Once onboard a number of safety protocols are in place as precautionary measures including:
  • Any persons who exhibit symptoms of any respiratory illness, flu-like symptoms, cough or a fever above 100.4F/38C will be subject to additional screening and may be subject to potential quarantine and disembarkation.
  • All ships are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized multiple times a day especially in key areas
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations have been added throughout the ships
  • Enhanced medical protocols have been instituted on all ships including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation.

What Guests Can Do

Guests can play their part as well to help prevent illness including:
  • Thoroughly wash your hands throughout the day especially after bathroom visits and before meals
  • Cover your mouth with a tissue or your upper sleeve whenever you cough or sneeze
  • Use hand sanitizer frequently
  • Be sure to visit the medical center if you feel unwell in any way
