About Carnival Elation
Carnival Elation was one of the first of Carnival Cruise Line's popular Fantasy-class ships and has been delighting cruisers of all age groups ever since. Chock full of amenities and activities, she was designed to create a fun-filled vacation for everyone in the family. Welcoming and comfortable, the 70,367-ton, 2,052-guest ship is sure to give you the time of your life! Fabulous upgrades in 2009 have modernized her as part of the line's "Evolutions of Fun" refurbishment program, including an adults-only sundeck, remodeled staterooms, suites and bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Further enhancements are scheduled for late 2017.
Excitement is everywhere on the Carnival Elation, from its bustling multi-deck atrium to the spiraling three-level-high Twister Waterslide offering thrills at every turn. Relaxing amenities also abound, such as three swimming pools, six Jacuzzis and the Mark Twain Library, a quiet area where you can catch up on your reading. Indulge in a soothing treatment such as a hot stone massage at the 12,000-square-foot Spa Carnival. Try a new style at the Beauty Salon and keep in shape at the Fitness Center. Find the perfect gift at the Fun Shops.
Throughout Carnival Elation are fun bars and lounges where you can have conversations and your favorite drink. Relaxing Gatsby's, the swinging Duke's Piano Bar and the beautiful Plaza Bar in the lobby are just some of the popular venues. Stroll along the Promenade and stop in the Drama Bar. Another hot spot is the bustling Jekyll and Hyde Dance Club, complete with a DJ.
Both adults and kids will find plenty to do. Supervised age-specific fun youth activities will keep kids from ages 2 to 11 years happy and busy at Camp Carnival, which is like a summer camp, but at sea. Delighting children, is Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends. Circle "C" club offers a "cool" place for those ages 12 to14 with a host of video games, dance parties, Karaoke and more. Pleasing teenagers ages 15-17 isn't easy, but they are sure to be thrilled with their very own Club 02 — open around the clock — with music, video games, food and new friends. Families can play 9-hole mini-golf course, shoot some hoops and jog around the padded track at the City Sports Park.
Be as active or not as you like on Carnival Elation. Quiet will surround you at the adults-only Serenity Retreat — a delightful oasis of tranquility. Experience this blissful area with swaying hammocks in the sea breeze and enjoy your favorite drink from the nearby bar as your cares simply melt away while you plan your next exciting day.
Treat your palate to a variety of delicious cuisine from an ever changing menu at the two grand main dining rooms, Inspiration and Imagination, serving exquisite cuisine, including healthy Spa Carnival selections, as well as vegetarian choices. The Taste Bar is another choice, while the Chef's Table is a foodie favorite. International cuisines and made-to-order options will make your taste buds smile at the poolside Tiffany's, featuring the Mongolian Wok custom stir-fry station, a deli and a dessert station with mouthwatering delights. Satisfy that craving for something tasty at the Pizza Pirate, known for its popular hand-tossed pizza. Stop in for specialty coffees, rich milkshakes and scrumptious desserts at the Musical Café.
After a day of fun, return to your comfortable home base. Settle in for the night in your choice of accommodations. Select from an Interior, Ocean View, Grand or Suite, all well-appointed. Enjoy the many perks, day or night a room steward will be available. Have your attendant call for your complimentary room service offered 24/7. After all, you are on vacation!
Exciting evenings include a dazzling Las Vegas-style production at the two-level Mikado Theatre and a show at the Cole Porter Club, where you can enjoy a more intimate ambiance. Go dancing and have an unforgettable time at the many music-filled piano bars, Duke's Gatsby's and the Musical Café. Hang out with your friends, family and fellow passengers at the Drama Bar or Romeo and Juliet Lounge. Hang out at the stunning Plaza Bar in the beautiful main atrium. Play some poker or slot games at the Casablanca Casino where the action never stops.
