Windstar 2018 President's Cruise

Join us for a special opportunity to sail in beautiful Asia on Windstar Cruise’s 2018 President's Cruise aboard the Star Legend. This event will be hosted by Windstar's president, John Delaney, and the Godmother of the Star Legend, Gloria Bohan, owner of Omega World Travel & Cruise.com. Both John Delaney and Gloria Bohan will welcome guests onboard as the journey begins in Singapore. Throughout the cruise they will both be available to listen to feedback and will share some of the news and upcoming itineraries that Windstar Cruises has to offer.
The itinerary will begin in Singapore and bring you to the beautiful lands of Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines. Everyone will love the dazzling local color, historic villages and modern decadence of this special region. Many of these areas are home to many of the crew members who will be there with you to explore the cultures and countries that they love and know the best.
Some of the unique experiences will include:
- Two days to explore Manila, one of the oldest cities in the Philippines.
- Shore excursions with the crew for a unique perspective
- The ability to explore all of the unspoiled, beautiful beaches that the area has to offer.
Singapore offers many things to do including that botanical gardens, Universal Studios, Gardens by the Bay, Raffles Hotel, Chinatown and the resort island of Sentosa. Guests can also visit the night museum, little India and the Singapore Flyer.
The capital of Malaysia, on the island of Borneo, lies in Kuching, a bustling and diverse city. There are a variety of sights to see including the Margherita Fort, Bako National Paqrk, and the Sarawak Cultural Center as well as enjoying the beautiful riverfront. Guests can visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Center as well as a number of Chinese and Islamic temples and museums.
- Bandar Seri Begawan
Bander Seri is the capital city of the tiny nation of Brunei. Some of its highlights include the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, which is surrounded by a lagoon. The mosque, built on 1958, boasts opulent chandeliers, spectacular stained glass and rich Italian marble throughout. Other places of interest include the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, with 29 golden domes and the capital's massive Istana Nurul Iman palace which is the residence of Brunei's ruling sultan.
- Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Malaysia's Sabah state, frequently referred to as KK. Some of KKs highlights include the Lok Kawai Wildlife Park, the Mari Mari Cultural Village and the Kota Kinabalu Wetland Center. Also of interest is the City Mosque, the Monosopiad Cultural Village and the Night Market.
- Puerto Princesa
Puerto Princessa makes a perfect base in the Philippines for a variety of excursions including a tour of the Subterranean River National Park, zip lining, and numerous snorkeling and diving opportunities. It is home to long nosed dolphins, turtles and different varieties of sea-rays.
Coron, located in the Philippines, boasts beautiful beaches as well as a number of dive sites. A number of World War II sunken ships which are perfect for diving. Guests can also explore the local markets and Lualhati Park.
- Bora Cay
Bora Cay is a beachgoer's paradise. This Philippine port is known for its white beaches, swaying palm trees and beach bars and oceanfront restaurants. One side of the island, Bulabog Beach, is perfect for watersports and divers will enjoy the coral reefs and shipwrecks located not far off shore.
Manila, the capital of the Philippines, is an ethnic melting pot of Malay, Spanish, American, Chinese and Arabic. When exploring the city be sure to visit the Old Town, Chinatown and the Quiapo Market.
- Hundred Islands
The Hundred Islands National Park is located in the Philippine city of Alaminos. This area is made up of 123 islands which are home to beautiful beaches, kayaking, snorkeling, zip lining, and other activities.
- Hong Kong
Formerly a British colony and now an autonomous territory within China, Hong Kong is vibrant metropolis, rich in history and surrounded by modern skyscrapers, Some of the top sights to see include a tram ride to Victoria Peak, a ferry ride to Macau, the Temple Street Night Market and a variety of historic temples.
