About Costa Smeralda
Named to honor Sardinia's gorgeous Emerald Coast, Costa's Smeralda debuted in 2019. This stunning 182,700-ton, 6,518-guest flagship is currently the fleets largest and the first Helios-class vessel. Another first for the line, she is powered by clean-burning liquefied natural gas (LNG) reducing her carbon footprint.
Celebrating Costa's Italian heritage, each deck represents a famous Italian city with photographic panels and a television showcasing the views of that city. Public areas are dedicated to the country's iconic places and squares, beautifully brought to life through the exceptional vision of famed designer Adam D. Tihany and Dordoni Architetti. A 4,305-square-foot onboard museum pays homage to the renowned excellence of Italian design.
Discover attractions for all ages, including four swimming pools a stunning two-deck theater, and more. Spend some quality time at variety of welcoming bars and lounges or hunt for treasure and beautiful souvenirs at the diverse shops. Family-friendly, the ship has a supervised youth program with age appropriate areas and activities for kids and toddlers, as well as a dedicated club with lounges for tweens and teens. Lively public spaces include a deck with a water park, high rope garden and mini-golf. Adrenaline enthusiasts will appreciate the thrilling waterslides, rock climbing wall and sports area onboard. A gigantic outdoor LED wall features movies and other entertainment.
Colosseo is the piazza-style “heart” of the ship. Spanning three decks in the center of the ship and topped off with a dome, it is filled with glamorous lounges and bars featuring large glass walls, for great views as you sip on your favorite drink and listen to music. Walk over water on the glass floor toward the aft of the ship and make your way to the highest point accessible to guests for breathtaking views. Maintain your fitness regimen at the gym then indulge in revitalizing treatments and an oasis of relaxation at the spa. Delicious dining options cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. Sparkling place settings welcome you into the sophisticated main dining rooms, traditional Italian venues serve classic favorites, everyone will love the hibachi restaurant, participate in a "tasting lab", where you make-your-own dinner and the Nutella Café is guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Accommodations are inspired by Italian warmth and feature custom-made furniture by some of the best manufacturers in Italy. Select from a wide variety of staterooms ranging from inside to suites. Introduced on the ship, is a new category featuring a balcony annex where you can enjoy a sunrise breakfast in the sea air or sip on your favorite cocktail in the evening.
